So in the actual saiki k show it starts at the beginning of a new school year and that's when Saiki's gonna get his powers (from da spider) and shit and how he's gonna learn how to use them.

When the new year starts (remember the Christmas and new years eps) is when he's gonna be teleported to another dimension.
