The story begins with a broken courtship, sparking a series of events that lead Alexander, the elder Purcell brother, to assist Louisa in finding a suitable match. The task is, of course, not the easiest as Louisa would rather spend a day in her music room than flirt and talk with a virtual stranger. As he navigates the complex dance of matchmaking, Alexander discovers that the heart has its own rhythm, and theirs might point at each other.
