Chuuya gets transferred to a new boarding school in his third year. The school is of an elite and prestigious class where rich and snobby students of aristocrats and business-men study.
But there is always a darker side of every picture and in this case its darker than black itself. Bettings, drugs, rapes and teenage crimes are rampant in the whole school and there is no one to question their activities.
And the rumor is that the one who lead all of this is someone called Osamu Dazai- the student council president of the high school.

"Yokohama school for troubled teens". Such a fancy name for a prison. They call it a school, but everyone knows that once you get in there, your future is already written, and it's anything but good. Dazai has been a resident of this "school" for well over a year and he's got quite the reputation amongst the other "students".
