Lilith and Loki have been friends since they were 12. Lilith is the daughter of a baker. Her mother died mysteriously when she was 10. After her mother died, Lilith's father, Evander, became very protective over her.
Loki had ditched one of his lessons and went to the forest to escape. He heard a girl singing and followed her voice to find Lilith sitting on a log.
They became fast friends and now, 12 years later, Loki has to marry Astrid of Vanir and he doesn't love her. He has his eyes set on someone else.
Lilith doesn't want Loki to marry her for her own reasons...
