Before man had come to rule the nations, the gods bestowed the power of life and death to man, life favoring those who were fair and just, and death to those who knew no love. It was the folly of the gods to believe that the nations and people would live in harmony, despite these deferences. Ever since the gods placed those with the power of life over the nations, those over the power of death became jealous, attempting to take the throne for themselves. It was always the dream of the people of death to rule the nation for once, even for a second, but they never thought it would happen. So when the daughter of the emperor was born with white hair but dark eyes with the power over life and death, the people of death's widest dream was finally coming true. Only that their only hope for this was a blind princess.
