This is the sixth book in, "The Wars of Ivory White" series. 

The war has began and blood has been shed. 

Excerpt:
Tracy drew a breath and held the witch's cold gaze. She knew that the rules of war would not be agreed upon. 
"What are your terms?" she asked instead.
"The rules of war are simply." Ivory said. "Kill until there is no one left on the other side."
"That is needless slaughter!"
"On the contrary, I need all of you to die. So, I will only offer this once. Bow to me and I will spare you."

Tracy folded her hands in front of her and raised a challenging brow. "It seems we've reached an impasse." 
"Then I will allow you this night to bid farewell to your loved ones. Tomorrow the war begins, Protector, and you will fail."
"The difference between you and me, Witch," Tracy said standing. "Is that I have yet to lose a war."

Jonathan's green eyes darkened. lunging forward, he grabbed Tracy by the throat and pulled her forward. Elongating his teeth, Tracy remained calm. "You shouldn't have done that." she chuckled.
