An Unconventional Family

He hadn't expected it. He was used to going on missions without regard to his safety or whether he lived or died. No one he loved was alive, which he supposed was a good thing in his line of work since he could go about his job without worrying that a loved one might be in danger, or, dare he think, might spiral into depression if he was killed. Hell, he had been ready to sacrifice himself for ages!

But now? He had someone to worry about and to live for. Two of them, actually. And he didn't know how to feel about it.

They were put together under strange circumstances.
They thought nothing would change.
Except they had to stay under the same roof, right?
No.
Everything changed.
Drastically.
But a good change.
