Alec Lawler is a professional in international business and a show jumper. Throughout North America and Europe, he has participated in show jumping competitions at the highest international level and has garnered multiple honors and recognitions, including the National Grand Prix of Woodside in 2022. But in addition, he is charged with eleven felonies for allegedly courting a juvenile student and for sexually abusing a minor. On January 6, the U.S. Equestrian Federation declared Lawler unfit to compete, and on January 11, the U.S. Center for SafeSport announced a temporary suspension due to "allegations of misconduct." Lawler was taken into custody at the Desert International Horse Park on January 5, 2023. Lawler is employed and resides in San Mateo County, California.
