Amy Rose and Sonic the Hedgehog have been dating for quite some time now. Amy can hardly believe that the man who has saved her life multiple times throughout her life is her boyfriend. The blue hero of Mobius with a regular girl who lives far out on the city's outskirts. 

Amy believed that when Sonic finally accepted her, he would begin to warm up and match her affection for him. However, it seems her daredevil hedgehog boyfriend hasn't changed much since the days of her chasing him around. He's distant, rarely comes to visit her, and barely ever mentions his relationship with her outside of dates Amy plans for them. 

Shadow the Hedgehog is widely seen as a loner hedgehog that no one outside a few people can interact with successfully. The Ultimate Lifeform is still haunted by his past visions of Maria, his best friend, and granddaughter of Gerald Robotnik. He doesn't enjoy being around people, particularly Sonic due to his annoyingly enthusiastic personality contrasting to his own serious, focused one. 

No one has ever been able to make Shadow feel the way Maria has. No one has been able to make him hope again. 

On the night of Princess Sally's Birthday Ball, a truth is revealed to Amy about Sonic. Something...unexpected, causes her to run away from the party ashamed. That same night she shows someone the extent of her strength that she holds back. 

It's safe to say he's impressed...

Amy has loved Sonic for so long that she could never bring herself to leave him...could she?

Shadow, ever so aggregated by the blue hedgehog leaves to stumble upon a pink hedgehog singing her heart out to one of their songs on a roof top of a restaurant. Amy Rose has caught the black and red hedgehog's intrest but will Sonic out foot him in the race for her attenion?

A single tear runs along my cheek as I give him a weak smile but all I saw were his beautiful emerald eyes filled with anything but joy but instead filled with worry, sorrow, fear. It ached to see them filled with such negative emotions. Before he could protest or before I had the chance to change my mind and run into his arms to feel his warm embrace, to forget everything that was actually going on, I jump. I knew there was no other option for me.. for us. As I feel gravity pull me closer and closer to the ground, I could feel the tears slide down my face. I shut my eyees tightly and hold my breathe, preparing for impact. SPLASH! The world around me is freezing and I feel as cold as ice, but my skin burns and almost feels as though its on fire.. I suppose frozen fire still burns.
