Portal is the runt of his litter of six pups, including himself. Mainly because of his own choices. He finds regurgitated meat disgusting, so he refuses to eat it unless forced. His mini-ness makes him an easy target for predators. So one day, when his parents turn a blind eye, he wanders off in search of fresh, unregurgitated meat, and wanders into stranger wolf territory.
