Copilot | Sonic the Hedgehog Dystopian AU

The year is 2087 and soil erosion has destroyed 80% of the Earth's soil. The extreme decrease in food has caused the population to die out drastically, leaving less than 2 billion people left on the planet. Scientists have found alternative ways to create food, but it's expensive, unhealthy, and requires a lot of power. These methods have helped stunt the starvation rates, but many poorer countries still suffer.

Copilot takes place in New York City where the gang of characters live. Tails and Sonic's parents were friends so despite the small age gap, they became friends because of the amount of time they had to hang out with each other. Sonic became friends with Knuckles in high school and despite the even bigger age gap between him and Tails, they became friendly with each other because of their mutual friend. Now, Tails and Sonic are roommates and have to navigate life in a dystopian city governed by a still money-hungry government. All they want to do is party but they have to deal with drama that's created along the way.

NOTE: Copilot is based off of @bayboyzone on tumblr's designs and ideas about Sonic characters. While the story and writing is all mine, the story was written with bayboyzone's designs and character personalities in mind.
