"Maybe if you hadn't worn, this wonderfully beautiful red cape, my darling." The man purred. He stroked my hair with affection. He had me pushed up against a tree. "Or, if you hadnt DARED, to read that little note you had found. The one that freed me from my slumber. The curse those old hags put on me for eating one of their members, AND little. Red. Riding Hood." He said with a disgusted looked, tearing the paper away from my trembling hand, and putting it into the pocket of his old, tattered shirt. "Do tell, why were you wearing this red cape, and where, were you going with those treats?" He asked curiously. His vicious smile grew wider by the minute, and my fear intensified. "I..Its my job..I work in a costume store. Its my w-work clothes. I didn't b-bother taking it off. I was bringing some of my Mothers goodies over to my Grandmothers house.. I t-took a shortcut through the woo-woods." I whispered, stuttering like a fool. Oh, how cruelly ironic my story was. Chased by a huge black wolf, in tattered clothes, after curiously reading something you stole from part of an old story book in the library. And then, having this monster corner you to a tree, only to turn into a gorgeous man who I would definitely hit on in any other situation. Red is just a normal seventeen year old. But when she makes the mistake of reading a silly old page of a book she tore out of an old book she found in the library, she will realize she has just unleashed the beast. Literally. When the prophecy calls upon Red to save the balance, will she be able too? Or will she fail, and end up as just a fading fairytale?
