ᰔ Benedict Bridgerton is caught in a thunderstorm, and whilst wandering wounded and unconscious on his horse, is spotted in the heavy rain passing the Gunningworth farm. Sophie and her father take him in, and when he wakes from his fever, Benedict has no recollection of who he is. So whilst the Gunningworths try to find out where this wanderer has come from, he insists on working around their farm (though he definitely needs to learn a thing or two about farming). Sophie isn't too good at not falling for Ben's charm, and struggles herself to remember where it is that they have met before. ᰔ
