Mari Snow is sent to Japan to handle the HumaGear crisis going on there and begins to assist Hiden Intelligence in handling it. Issues occur there when she crosses paths with A.I.M.S., a military branch meant to deal with punishing out of controls Humagears, and the terrorist group MetsubouJinrai.net. 

As she navigates these events with the help of her own personal HumaGear, Kairi, and her co-worker, Rei Okamoto, her past joins the picture and exposes more threats to the world.

Hiro suits up one more team member before all hell breaks loose, and the city of San Fransokyo is placed in danger, yet again, by terrifying forces of evil. Hiro has to balance saving his city, school work, dealing with his first crush, and having to deal with his team meddling into his personal life. Oh, and then there's the fact that the new girl is blind and has a hover board. The story is told in first person perspective and the character is switched every chapter or two.
