Spottedheart is finally dead, and everything has fallen back into the harmonious lifestyle that they've all missed. Now that their shared foe is dead, the Clans can all go back to being tranquil... Or so they had hoped. A mysterious group of cats has invaded the Clans territories, and dead bodies are appearing left and right on their land. Prey is becoming scarce, cats are going missing, and there are secrets slowly resurfacing from the ugly depths of lies and betrayal. The Clans must learn that they cannot trust anyone... The Clans are dying. WindClan is scattered. RiverClan is wounded. ThunderClan has six warriors left... and no hope. When dogs ravage the forest and leaders fall one by one, the code means nothing - and survival means everything. HoneyStrike was supposed to lead. Brave, loyal, and fierce, she defended her Clan when no one else could. But when her mother abandoned ThunderClan - and her - for love and another Clan, something broke inside her. Now, she doesn't want to lead. She doesn't even want to stay. But when unexpected alliances form, and old enemies return seeking safety, one question rises like smoke: If the Clans must become one... Who decides what they become? Loyalty will be tested. Blood will be spilled. And HoneyStrike will have to choose between the past... and the fire that still burns inside her.
