Into the Dark

Hiding in the shadows of the prince's chambers, my heart pounding in my chest as i strained to hear any snippets of sound that might reveal where the prince was at in the large room. I held my breath, imagining the repercussions if I were caught. But I had to be in here to find what I needed to find to get under his skin. The prince had always been elusive, and I was certain that he was hiding something from the kingdom.

Suddenly, the sound of footsteps approached, and panic jolted through me. Before i could retreat, the prince's strong hands grasped my shoulders and pulled me out from the safety of the darkness. As he brought me close, his grip on my face forced me to meet his intense gaze. I felt a rush of nervous energy as his touch sent shivers down my spine. I tried to pull away, but his strength was unyielding.

"Why are you sneaking around in my room, Elara?" His voice was teasing, playful, and it only made me more flustered.

"I... I was looking for secrets," i stammered, my eyes flickering with uncertainty.

His smirk indicated he was enjoying my discomfort. His flirting made me go weak at the knees, and I struggled to maintain my composure. It was maddening how his mere presence could unsettle me so deeply.

"Well, you found one," he murmured, a glint of amusement in his eyes. His proximity made my heart race, and I was finding it increasingly difficult to hold my ground.

As I attempted to collect my thoughts, he continued to toy with me, enjoying my unease. Every light brush of his fingers against my skin sent a jolt of electricity through me, leaving me breathless and disoriented. I knew I should resist, but my resolve wavered in the face of his charm and charisma.

In that moment, I realized that I was in too deep, caught between my desire to go home and the magnetic pull of the enigmatic prince.
