Months after becoming the first Champion of Alola, Ash is itching to go on a new journey but has been stuck thinking with Pikachu about their next steps. Over in the Galar region, friends Goh and Chloe are searching for their calling in the world. Professor Cerise, Chloe's father, is finally ready to set his career into motion with the grand opening of his laboratory in Motostoke City. Giovanni, discontent with Team Rocket's performance, is ready to take a step in a new direction with some help from a familiar face.
