Peyton Ellis had an okay life. Yeah, she suffered through major depressive mood swings once and a while and had shit parents. But life was okay. Peyton had her friends. Robin, Finney, and Vinnie. She'd probably say that she was friends with Finney's sister, Gwen, too. If gossiping together playfully counts as friendship. She'd probably go as far as admitting she was friends with Bruce Yamada. Life was okay, it wasn't great, but it was okay.

That was until a certain Vance Hopper came into the picture.

A kind of no-grabber AU, but he's still included in here Vaguely. But only a little because when I think of him I want to either projectile vomit or punch a hole through my wall. I already did the latter. This will be treated as a crack fic sometimes, but like, crack taken seriously.

This will take place in the 90s (1997-1998) because I don't think I can accurately portray the 70s as well as I can the 90s. Also, I want being gay to be a bit more normal. Yes, I know, people didn't like gay people that much in the 90s either, but at least gay people didn't get the absolute living shit beat out of them for being attracted to their own gender. Well, not as much anyway. Oh, and even though this takes place in the 90s, I will be using songs from the present. Sometimes I can't find songs good enough for what I'm going for with 90s songs. This is fictional, don't expect everything to align the way it should.

PS: Griffin and Gwen are fourteen, Vinnie, Peyton, Donna, and Finney are fifteen, Robin, Billy, and Bruce are sixteen, and Vance is seventeen. Robin is only a few months older than Peyton and the gang, so they are still in the same grade. The reason I made him sixteen is so the gang would have a chaperone before Vance came along.
