"There's a story." She grunted as she snapped apart the stick into two and threw the pieces into the growing fire. The golden glow shone on her olive skin. Her once always scowling face now rested with years of pain and exhaustion.
"Mortals made it to feel in control." She continued, falling into the trance of the flames.
"What's the story?" Percy spoke up; his curiosity took the better of him.
"The story of the Shards of Ares."
