When God of Mischief Loki Laufeyson is trapped on Midgard alone with reduced magic, it's up to S.H.I.E.L.D administrator and low-risk operator James Leyings to ensure the god returns to Asgard safely without being flagged down and hunted by S.H.I.E.L.D.
