The Prophecy/Evan Buckley

6 parts Ongoing Mature

Lily Jackson once had a happy childhood, but then tragedy struck. At fifteen, her older sister committed suicide, and her parents never recovered. They remained stuck in the past, practically forgetting their other daughter. Lily will never forget her sister and grieves her every day, and she will for the rest of her life. But Lily also knows her sister would want Lily to try to build a good life for herself, and that's what Lily does. Lily does this by moving states and becoming a firefighter with the 118, dedicating her life to saving others, as she hadn't been able to save her sister. But Lily hadn't expected the 118 to become her new family, and that they cared for her and loved her unconditionally , each in their own way. For the first time in her life, Lily didn't feel like second best. But her past with her parents and sister will always hang over her like a dark cloud, always there to remind her of who she had lost and whose love she had lost.
