Not only did Mandy basically lose her parents, she lost her first love. When there is a storm, Mandy’s past of her first love floods her with the memories that happened that day. She was only twelve when it happened. Ever since she lost her first love, she freaks out whenever there is a storm. It has taken over five years for Mandy to find love once again. She is falling for a young man whom she cannot reveal her true feelings for, even though he has been by her side all of her life.
