Peyton Maddox's parents were murdered when she was twelve and oddly enough, the killer decided to leave her alive. That man, the one Peyton has spent her life trying to forget, has never been found. But life goes on, Peyton's best friend's family takes her in and she grows up living a relatively normal life for the next twelve years. At 24, Peyton lives with Nova, her best friend and Nash, her best friend's brother. Peyton's always had to tiptoe around Nash, the man has hated her since the second she moved in. But when Peyton's past starts to haunt her in the present, Nash becomes a constant. Pushing her near the edge of insanity more than she already was. He claims to want to keep her safe, but coming from the man who spent an entire decade ignoring her, that was hard to believe. Nash, better known as Grim, is a professional MMA fighter and he has very little tolerance for the best friend of his younger sister. The woman was a walking siren. Gorgeous and innocent and a literal beacon for men with violent tendencies. Including Nash himself. But he'd be damned before he let anything happen to her. After all, she'd been through enough.
