In a huge city filled with crime, Baylor Hill, new detective, is finding her job not as wonderful as she had hoped. That's before she gets thrown into the underground crime world filled with the gangs that roam the streets. Her job: nail a certain suspect, The Ringtail, also known as Reynard.
Reynard is a big part in one of these gangs. Head of a large informational gathering branch and right hand to the man in charge. When Baylor gets added to his group he wonders what the boss is playing at.
While Baylor tries to get Reynard to trust her and Reynard tries to find any reason not to they both discover truths they weren't working to uncover.
