K'Amoura Brown never expected to spend her senior year at Long Island Lutheran High School (LUHI), but after a turbulent past at her former school, she's forced to start over. Keeping her head down and staying out of trouble is the plan, until she's paired with Kiyan Anthony for a Film and Photography class project.
Their assignment? Use photography to document their journey of getting to know each other. They have complete creative control, but there's one rule: every picture must capture something real.
At first, the project is just another grade, and their forced partnership is filled with tension. Kiyan is used to the spotlight, the cameras always flashing as he builds his own legacy. K'Amoura, on the other hand, prefers to stay behind the lens, hiding pieces of herself from the world. But as the pictures develop, so does something neither of them expected; a connection that reveals their fears, dreams, and the unspoken weight they both carry.
With every snapshot, the lines between project and personal blur. When the past threatens to resurface and outside pressures mount, Kiyan and K'Amoura must decide: will they let go of the image they've built for themselves, or risk it all to capture something real?
