A Percy Jackson Mortal AU
Percy and Annabeth have been friends for as long as they could remember. They grew up together, shared secrets, laughed and had fun until one day Percy seems to be growing distant. He shows up to school with random injuries, which he tells Annabeth are from accidents until one day Annabeth finds out.
In middle school, the two try to acknowledge the other as little as possible. They become sworn enemies, making new friends and growing apart. The only thing they have to remind them of their friendship is a cracked, plastic ring.
When they get to High School, they decide to try and become friends again. The road is bumpy, they both try out love, there are many arguments. But it's better. As their lives go on, will they be able to salvage their broken friendship? Will sparks fly and turn it into something more? Or will they never get back what they lost?
