A boy with Hanafuda earrings walks in the snow. An old man shouts out to him to come inside. He politely declines the offer and continues walking. Halfway through his walk he is met with an ominous smell. It hit him suddenly and was gone as quickly as it came. What was it? Muzan Kibutsuji.

The smell was back again. It was stronger this time. Before the boy could turn around he was hit with a horrible pain in his neck. He was out cold, he could only wake when it was too late.
