Maheen and Hasan met when they were kids- young, naïve, and hopeful about the world. Just when their story begins, they're separated by tragedy and pain. But as fate would have it, they were meant to meet again. Years later, now all grown up, they meet again suddenly at work and old feelings resurface. Maheen is an open book. She says what she feels and wears her heart on her sleeve. She's always laughing, the personification of a bright sunny day. In her mind, she's the main character of her own Bollywood movie. She doesn't care what anyone has to say about her. She's already heard the worst. Hasan is her complete opposite. He's always been quiet and shy, and has only become more serious and business-like as the years go on. He may have a hard exterior, but Maheen's re-entry in his life is starting to remind him of who he once was. Maheen never misses an opportunity to make Hasan flustered, with her constant teasing and playful pestering. Hasan- the forever gentlemen- does not give in to her innocent flirting and keeps everything very professional. Or at least he tries very hard to. Between the secret glances over cubicles, and passing jokes after staff meetings, maybe their friendship was once again turning into something more. Will they let their hearts lead them this time, or will they let the world interrupt their story again...This is their last first chance. Spinoff of Al-Ameen Family series (Continues after Naina): 1. #2 - arrangedmarriage #12 - feelings True love stands by each other's side on good days and stands closer on bad days. Marriage stands the test of times when both you and your spouse work towards making things better. And we are tested the most when we face adversities. If you can sail through the adversities as one, as a team, then you have won half the battle. A perfect marriage is just two imperfect people who refuse to give up on each other. Learning to accept each other's flaws and living with them, forgiving one another, and sharing and growing the love, is what make marriage so special. - Annonymous This is story about Swara and Sanskar tied in an arranged marriage totally unaware about their other half. This will be a simple sweet love story on how two individuals who are completely different from each other come together falls in love with each other and create a beautiful world around them. Sanskar : 'I always trust you Badi Ma with my life, I know you will always choose the best for me. And now you have chosen Swara, I will try to make it possible for both of us. But will I be able to involve in this marriage with my heart? I still need time to accept this, but I will fulfill all promises and vows which I will take with her.' Swara: 'I knew Dida never showed it but consoled and cared for me even after losing her daughter and son in law. But I knew somewhere I was burden on her; she was always worried about my future. And now also I have become a burden on this family, on my husband. He was forced to marry me, he accepted this marriage just because of his mothers. How long any forced relation will breath? It will break and die in near future. I have no hopes from this.' Disclaimer -This is a work of fiction. Out of habit, I burst out laughing, and the water from my mouth drenches someone's shirt in front of me, who seemed to appear from nowhere. I look up to see the familiar pair of handsome eyes, only that now it is rageful. "I'm sorry, really...." I begin to stutter, but even before I could finish my sentence, he grabs the bottle from my hand and empties it down, straight on my head, and throws it away. His lips twitch into an evil, satisfied smirk. Out of my reflex, but with determination, I push him back. He trips and loses his balance, just to get his upper body drenched by the water pouring out of the fountain. Yay! I have managed to wash the evil smirk on his face... He is now soaking wet and his wet hair glistens glamorously. I feel water dripping down my face as well. I take a step back, "I said I'm sorry." I utter, my voice filled with determination. I am not one of those cliché teenage girls, who simply stands embarrassed when someone humiliates them. --------*---------*-------- Athisya, a 15 turning 16-year-old funny, rebellious yet sweet girl belongs to an orthodox Tamil family living in Chennai. The story focuses on this girl who has some health issues yet manages to pass out of her high school in flying colors with the help of her family and friends. On her way, she meets Mugilan, a handsome, haughty yet caring guy. Things begin to change when fate ties together their lives and little does Athisya expect it. Join Athisya in her journey through hatred, love, trauma, struggle, tears, and faith. P.S: This story brings out Tamil culture. But anyone can read this as I've made it apt for readers of all platforms. Also, this story doesn't have a sequential storyline but is a book describing the journey of the protagonist Athisya. Highest rankings: #3 in Chennai #15 in Tamil #15 in ambition ----------*----------*--------- Hello guys! Since this is going to be my first ever story, I'm prone to make a few mistakes. But I'm trying to give my best. So give it a try.
