Mixcoatl is a county unaffected by the progression of time. Situated within the confines of a ragged, make-do fence, its inhabitants remain under threat from what roams outside. From the perspective of the early-matured Kai and company of his quaint friend Marley, they venture beyond the walls with aims of combating the underlying snags in Marley's mind and discovering the purpose to their and Mixcoatl's existence.
