We all know the story of the Crying child, right? Little kid who ultimately dies in the aftermath of a stupid prank. But what if he survived?
In this book, we get to see what Evan Afton's life was like before the bite, the events leading up to it, and his long road to recovery. Physically, and emotionally.
And we also get to see the ordeal through Micheal's eyes as well. What he was thinking, what drove him to the point of nearly killing his brother, his commitment to helping him recover, and his emotional struggle afterwords.
Rated PG-13 for fear, mild gore, and heavy themes.

After Michael came to Henry for help one night, when the teenage boy broke out of the house and ran away in an act of desperation, Henry finally realizes what type of bad situation Michael is in. Not to mention, how terribly Evan's death is eating him up inside. Henry isn't sure exactly what to do about it, but he promises Michael that he will do whatever he can, and at least provide a safe place for the grieving teen to escape to.
