This is a story about a young girl who is struggling in life with insecurities, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts, all while raising her little brother. Her best friend, Kasey, is toxic and encourages her bad habits.
Scarlette, or Scar, is a young 15 year old girl. Her mother left when she was 12, and her father is verblly abusive. She has been raising Storm, her little brother, since he turned 3. She was traumatized from the ages 7 to 10 by her mother's boyfriend. He would scream in her face about anything and would go as far as to hitting her. This caused a lot of resentment towards men and made her develop anger issues and trust issues.
Storm is a 11 year old austistic male. He suffers from ADHD and autism. He may be 11, but he has the mind of a 7 year old, making it extremely hard for Scar to care for him.
While Scar seems perfect on the outside, pretty, good grades, popular, lots of friends, a "loving" dad, she really isn't. Will her broken past and ruined present be exposed, or will she live in her personal hell for the rest of her life?

She doesn't crave to be a popular girl, or to be eye candy for the boys, she just wants to be known as 'pretty' and liked. Her worst nightmare is to be known as the far girl, or the ugly one. This need becomes overwhelming, and soon her body shuts down, and her mental health plummets. She does some things, things she will regret in the future yet in the moment cures her need to feel alive, it brings satisfaction. Will her older brothers be able to save her? What happens when it all gets too much? They might be able to save her from other people, but can they save her from herself?... This is the story of an abused teenage girl, Maddie. Her need to die has become overwhelming and she is trying to find a way to help herself before she does something she may regret. The story is told from her point of view as she recalls all that has happened to her. Maybe telling her story will help her, maybe not. This isn't just any other sob story. This is more realistic.
