A few years after the mokingjay. Katniss and Peeta are now married and live in victors village together. They find themselves in difficult situations with struggles and some troublesome things along the road. With nearly everything taken from them once a particular news broadcast was sent out across the nation of Panem. they are only left with each other and their love for one another What will happen once that's taken from them as well? Will they still say "Always" after everything, or will that change as they go on? Only time can tell, well that's until they're out of time.

But one day it comes and knocks on his door and he's forced to redeem it as much as he can. this is the story of his downward spiral, redemption and attempts to fix his mistakes. AUTHOR'S NOTE: pretty much all of this story is from Gale's perspective. and it doesn't have a Gale x Katniss relationship, just friendship. I think that the end of Gale's story was unfulfilling. They start talking and as the night goes on, they feel the light that they had been missing. They go to a motel and get a room under false names, sharing a night that finally makes each feel whole. But there is a fatal flaw to this fairy tale. For both were already married. These two were star crossed lovers who were never meant to be. But it's funny how fate changes that. "I remember everything about you," I reply, repeating his words to me. I expect to regret my honesty, feeling like I've shared too much. But I feel like I haven't shared enough. I want to tell him everything about himself, to prove just how much I remember. But I don't. Over time, they grow back together, relearning to love every part of each other. Moving on from the war isn't easy, especially when Katniss still revisits her greatest fears and worst memories every night. But Peeta is always there, keeping the nightmares away, keeping her safe.
