Addelyn James is the girl everyone wants to be. She lives in Los Angeles with her rich family. She has good grades and Instagram worthy friends.

Clay Rhys is deemed a brooding, mystery boy at school. People tend to keep away and talk about him.

But really he's sweet and kind and has a story no one knows about.

At the beginning of the summer, Adelaide runs into Clay at the beach. He helps her out and she realizes he's not the mean guy everyone pegs him out to be.

Over the first few weeks she grows to understand that people just haven't deserved to know the real Clay. Without realizing it, she's falling in love.

But her reputation is faltering and her once close friends are now calling her a slut and a bitch for following her heart and not the rich kid rules.
