Katharine Tribune was a normal college student, in a normal city, with a normal family, and leading a normal life. Okay, all of that was a lie. Katharine was a double major living in Gotham, which is notorious for its supervillains, goes home to see her young, single mother on weekends, and secretly fought crime in spandex. Actually, alright, that's pretty normal considering all things.

But, she had one rule. She always worked alone. She couldn't risk someone finding out her real identity and slandering her family name. She owed her mom that much, for everything the woman had been through.

But, when a night on the town goes wrong, Katharine discovers Scarecrow has been creating a new strand of his fear toxin. One that will kill thousands. To accomplish this, the supervillain kidnapped world-renowned biochemist and Katharine's own mother, Leslie Tribune.

Desperate to get her mother back, Katharine teams up with Nightwing, the Blüdhaven vigilante who just so happened to show back up in Gotham after years of staying away. With his resources and her knowledge of Gotham's undercity, can the two rescue Dr. Tribune and stop the Scarecrow's science project?
