Dani sat up from her previous position, looking at her friend with wide eyes.

Danielle Nicole Marcello is a 16 year old girl that has been living in Wellsbury with her mom and dad since she was young. She was thrilled when told she would be getting a little brother. That didn't last for long. Ever since he was born, she was expected to raise him as a parent should. Her parents immediately stopped caring and never focused on anything other than work. Sure it's better than having drunk and abusive ones, but it was still enough to ruin her childhood. Doing this for 10 years, she has learned everything to and not to do in order to keep her life in check. With the task of caring for her brother, she never had any time or need to find friends other than her one childhood friend that has stuck with her for the whole journey. She keeps her head low at school while all rumors about her rotate, mainly being spread by MAN, a group of three friends definitely out to get her.

What happens when a new family of three move in across the street bringing with them a new member of the popular girl group, and bringing back old memories that no one wanted to deal with again?

When Dani gets stuck in a whirlpool of emotions and ends up twisted in a game of hatred, love, mind games, and much more, there seems to be only one person that cares about her through all the good and bad. The only problem, is that person is supposed to hate her.

Will she have to break friendships to keep them safe, or will she be able to accept that people have hearts and some of them are brave enough to want her?
