I already knew what kind of man Theo Henshaw was. One who wasn't interested in being a father, one who would rather party and drink and whore his way around London than take on his responsibilities. But raising a motherless, grieving three-year old is expensive, and I needed his financial help. That's the least the man could do after all this time of not even a word from him. Only, it turns out my late best friend hasn't been entirely honest with me about Theo's interest in his daughter. Or his knowledge that Pippa even exists. So having given him the shock of his life, Theo and I now need to find a way to work together and do what is best for Pippa. But my preconceived notions about Theo quickly crumbles as I get to know him, and the man behind the public façade is something entirely different. Something I might need and will find it hard to leave behind when it's time for me to move on.

I would never admit this to anyone for as long as I lived, and I was going to hell for thinking it, but Theo Romano was hot when he was angry. It wasn't until I finished my dramatic speech did I notice he was standing a few inches from me. I could smell his intoxicating cologne, and I had to hold back every bone in my body that told me to jump him. I'd really done it now. I had pissed off the underboss, and I wasn't even officially hired yet. ***** Amelia Monet had built an empire for herself. To be fair, there was never a shortage of jobs for an assassin. Leaving quickly from a job Amelia walked past a bar that caught her eye. If she had known how much her life would change after that night would she still have walked through those doors? She still couldn't answer that question. That night became the first time she met Theo Romano, heir to the Italian Mafia, and unfortunately for Amelia it wouldn't be the last. ***** This book is considered mature. I don't want to upset anyone. This is the warning to potential triggers of murder, suicide, abuse, and adult themes.
