In a world in which a person's level of happiness is measured by the amount of color they see, Jeon Jeongguk can say he stands somewhere in the middle - not too happy but not sad either. The colors he sees aren't as saturated as his friends say they are but Jeongguk thinks he's content with that even if, deep inside, he knows he wants more, wants to know how the sky looks like when you're the happiest you could ever be. Jeongguk wants more, wants to see the sky on his happiest day, wants to see the world so brightly that his eyes start hurting but when he meets Kim Taehyung, he realizes he's been way too selfish, way too greedy. Because, despite him, Taehyung wears the most beautiful smile and he treats each day as if it was his last. Taehyung is the most amazing person Jeongguk's ever met, filled with happiness and joy, so much that Jeongguk's own world starts brightening up next to him, the colors he sees no longer seeming dull. So, to say that Jeongguk is shocked when he finds out the truth about Taehyung's life is an understatement. Taehyung, his Taehyung, the brightest person on that planet, has never seen the color of the sky or those of the flowers he adored so much. Because Taehyung's only seen greyscale hues all his life.
