It's 1964 and a young model named Warren Campbell is arrested and brought to the Briarcliff asylum, where he meets a young woman named Jill Burton.
On one side of the story, 23-year-old Jill Burton has endured a troubled life filled of traumatic hardships. Incarcerated in the asylum since the youthful age of 18, the once feisty woman has been subjected to five years of abuse and medication, leading to the extinguishment of the fire within her. She believes there's no chance of escape, resigned to her grim fate.
However, things begin to change with the arrival of the newest alleged member of the criminally insane, 24 year old Warren Campbell. His loud entrance capturing everyone's attention. Initially feeling pity, Jill desires to shield Warren from repeating the same mistakes she made years ago. Yet, over time, she finds his stubborn fierceness contagious and agrees to collaborate on planning an escape, her fierceness returning. Perhaps, finally, their fate will take a positive turn.
With nothing left to lose and everything to gain, the two embark on plotting their escape, ready to do whatever it takes.
