Peter Parker, also known as Spider-Man, is perfectly content with being the only spider-person in New York. After all, he believes there ARE no other spider-people. But when saving New York from villains starts to become more and more exhausting as Spider-Man attempts to balance his superhero work, his job at the Daily Bugle, and maintaining his relationships, he wishes there was someone who could help him out. Suddenly, a strange new person appears who claims to have the same powers as Spider-Man and offers to be his apprentice. While the help is certainly welcome, Spider-Man can't help but wonder: is his apprentice all that she seems?
