After the killing game ended, Shuichi woke up in the hospital. He was relieved to see that all of his friends were alive and they came to visit him, except for one - Kokichi. Shuichi asked his friends if they knew where Kokichi was, but nobody had any information. 

Sometime later, while adjusting to his new life, Shuichi came across a missing person poster and realized that Kokichi was the one who was missing. The police were unable to find him and Shuichi knew that Kokichi was in danger. He decided to work with Kirigiri as a detective to find Kokichi and ensure his safety. 

The question remained - could Shuichi solve the mystery of Kokichi's disappearance and find him alive?

Will their relationship blossom into something more than friends? (By the way,everyone is trying to figure out how to get out of the dome they are trapped in,there's no killing,Monokuma just traps them their for fun and he's their to watch over them.) But a love interest served to show him as weak. He had fallen for the luminary of the stars, Kaito Momota. A man who always believes in you, no matter who you are. Kokichi didn't get it! He did all these bad things, yet.. Kaito still believed in him. Kaito was strong willed, and also idiotic. He made Kokichi laugh. Yet Kokichi still always gave him a hard time, it was a way to show his love. But this wouldn't last forever.
