But as promised, she leaves the reclusive dollmaker to seek shelter at the nearby village. But the townspeople aren't too keen about a creature of the night coexisting in their home. And now in the open with nowhere to hide, Carmilla has to find a way to clear her name in the eyes of the villagers, all the while pining for a woman that she just met. With no idea on who or what she is, Carmilla is pushed into the binds of her forgotten past and uncertain future with Donna Beneviento and the Village of Shadows.
