This story has an alternate ending in which Caleb goes into the Weapons Lab. With the exception of Al, Caleb, Marlene, Tori, and Lynn(who's deaths were unavoidable and served great purpose for the books; and Eric who I hate and just wanted to leave dead in spite of the character) none of the characters are dead. I Also, there have been some changes as to who is and isn't factionless. The following people are:  Nita, Jeanine, Marcus, Evelyn, Max, Drew, Molly, Edward. A Divergent fanficion In this fanfiction, Tris and Tobias meet in Abnegation. The basic plot of Divergent, Tris transferring to Dauntless and her and Four falling in love are still happening, but in different order and with my own twist to it. Like many fanfics, the war doesn't happen in this, but many twists, dangers and people from the past try to stop Fourtris's happiness.
