He is a protector, healer, warrior, wizard, ally, friend or a sworn enemy. Barely anyone knows him well enough to tell at least a part of his story, so he remains a rumor. But when Gandalf the Grey sends for him Nataen will be dragged into an unexpected adventure. The story of their journey will spread across Middle Earth and lift the shadows that surround him a little bit. Disclaimer: This story was inspired by the "Blue Swords" trilogy, written by Frayedapart. If you are a fan of the Hobbit or the Lord of the Rings you should pay the profile of Frayedapart a visit. There are many more fanfictions about those books. Like "Blue Swords" this book includes a romantic relationship between Legolas and the male Oc. The youngest of Lord Elrond's children has always been different from her siblings. A part of her seemed to be locked away, waiting for the right moment to burst forth. Despite this, she was loved, she was treasured and she was protected... until she wasn't. The day she unlocked her true self is a day that haunts her. Instead of the assured protection of her family, she became the protector. That day lingers. It scars. The traumatic event not only affected her but her family. As time moves forward the scar remains, not loudly or visible but it remains. Until an event occurs and that nightmare was said to slink back into darkness, providing a semblance of peace. A small fire, a source of heat for her but a beacon for unsavoury characters. That is all took for the nightmare to come back. That once locked part now pulsates. A warning perhaps or a sign of evolving. She seeks out a wizard for her answers and instead she leaves with more questions and uncertainties. She offers her help when asked, a small thing for a dear friend... Oh how she regrets that. Dwarves! Dragons! Wargs! She did not agree with this. She did not agree with it at all! Amongst, verbally combating with dwarves, playing therapist to an emotionally compromised hobbit, refraining from pushing an annoyingly vague wizard; she finds the past does not remain there.
