Violet is invisible, and she prefers it that way. The student body of her high school is, from her perspective, a bunch of stereotypes and cliches that she would rather stay away from. Passing unseen is fairly easy for Violet, as long as she has an outlet - a diary her brother gave to her, right before he was killed overseas. When that diary goes missing, she has to face life without that last remaining link to her brother. She doesn't know who found her diary, who is reading it, who is slowly falling in love with her... until the school's basketball star kisses her in front of all of his trendy friends.
