Vessels

In a world riddled with a mystic alien bacteria named the "vessel virus" which gives the infected humans with enhanced capabilities, and sometimes even unexplainable powers, hopeful teenager Max Landry is riddled with anxiety as he waits for his power to manifest, with a possibility of being the first member of his family to not have one. As he waits, he is dragged into a kidnapping as a prime suspect which forces him to run away. As he runs from the law and the member of an ancient cult, he meets the woman he has supposedly kidnapped, who tells him he is the one destined to save the world from the cult which would return in the coming weeks. But how could he be when his power hasn't manifested yet?
