Inspired by Bones and All (2022)

Lillyanna Gallon, nicknamed "Lily," has been inrolled in Laderwood Boarding School as a Day class student, since she was 10 years old. When her best friend pressures her into trying a week long social experience with the Night class, it brings back trauma from her childhood.

Lee has been inrolled in Laderwood Boarding School since his dad "ran off" when he was 14. He's been struggling with an ED since he was young. He misses his sister, Kayla. She's in the Day class. This is her first year in 9th grade and his last year in 12th. Even though he doesn't want to, enrolling in this experience is his only chance to reconnect with her. But instead, he meets Lily.

They both are hesitant to communicate for different reasons, but loneliness is one hell of a motivator.

"I'm assuming that little speech was meant for me?" "It was meant for everyone." "But mostly me. Is it because I called her selfish earlier? Are you still hung up on that?" "I'm not hung up on anything, Gemma." "Then why would you go up there and say that?" I demand, my voice rising above a whisper. "Of all days, why would you choose today to publicly humiliate me?" "Today isn't about you, Gemma," Bowie says, catching me by surprise. "Today is about Raelyn, and the fact that we all failed her." ----------- 𝕲𝖊𝖒𝖒𝖆 𝕭𝖊𝖆𝖚𝖋𝖔𝖗𝖙's life is turned upside down the day she gets the call that her best friend, Raelyn, took her own life. No note, no explanation, just an empty bottle of pills atop a mountain of unanswered questions. As far as Gemma knew, Raelyn wasn't depressed. Why did she do this? Why did she kill herself? While searching for answers, she forms a bond with Evangeline, Raelyn's six-year-old daughter. Gemma soon learns that Raelyn didn't just leave behind a daughter, though. She also left a stack of secrets so high that Gemma fears she never knew her best friend at all. She's so desperate to find out the truth that she may get more than she bargained for. ***this book contains suicidal thoughts and tendencies, may not be appropriate for younger audiences*** In which she looks for the purpose of life. Lily Carter's parents died in a car crash leaving her and Laura, girl was depressed long before her parents passed away and with all the problems turning up now, Lily felt more miserable - if that's even possible. With her journey to look for life's purpose and grab the small pinch of HOPE - which is ironically her second name -, will she finally snap at the pressure and finally end it all? or will a small light lit her darkened world of grief and loneliness? * "So you know. The little goth girl who gets bullied is indeed a mess. There's this mess in her head that eats her alive everyday isn't it? What to do now Kaden? Tell the whole neighborhood and recieve an award for taking out a crazy in this world?" I spit like vomit. His eyes warmed up as I finished, "Lily. It isn't like that" "What is it then? People stopped caring... they gave up, why aren't you?" I fought my tears. "Because I feel the need to care. Did Leigh hurt you? Did she hit you?" he finally noticed the unusual redness of my cheek. I don't like the way he told me he needed to care for me. I felt like an obligation, a responsibility that he is carrying and carrying leads to getting tired and when people gets tired, they give up. I don't want them to give up on me. But they will, so it's good not to make them care for me in the first place. "I never needed anyone. I stopped needing anyone before, why start now?" I uttered the words again. Why? There is nothing to fight for. No mama. No papa. No sister to love me. No one. So why would I waste my life and the time of others to fix what is already broken - and someone who doesn't want to be fixed? If I may add. Maybe I gave up. No, scratch that. I gave up a long time ago - when my parents died, my hope and purpose went away with them.

Whether it's intentional or not, driven by desire or no reason at all, You stood out the most. To Your eyes, to the ends of Your teeth, to the way You behave, to the way You grin. You were quite the popular kid, but for the wrong reasons. You were known because You were feared. It wasn't Your ability that scared them, no, it was Your bloodlust. They could understand how Your powers work, but they couldn't grasp why You acted so psychotic and went on a rampage every chance You got. You were far from normal, far worse than them. You were self-aware of that fact and yet You didn't care, because it was the real You. However, Your life seems to start taking a turn when a new girl enrolls into the school.
