Wide Eyed

Author's note: I unpublished for a while because I wanted to change the cover from a shitty Ai image to something genuine, but Canva won't open. So I just took it down... I've thought better of it and decided to put the story back up. It's the first one I've written to be read by other people and it would be a shame for it just to sit and be forgotten, even if my writings already improved a bunch.

How else to describe a child's view of the world than a wide-eyed innocence?
Follow Tommy as he attempts to return his library books. A simple task, yet one that goes terribly wrong. Watch as Tommy treads below the library, and what finds him below forces his little eyes even wider open.
Hear his Mother's anguish as the Academy comes knocking on her door. A sudden interest in her boy has sent them to collect, but he is all she has.
Innocence lost, a mind forever changed, and a body left behind in a musty tomb.
Enter the library and walk between the dark aisles. Follow the stairs down and through the rusted door. See what Tommy saw, and pray that is has no interest in you.
