Keena Ectorious was lying low after the fall of her kingdom. She had made a living for herself as the most powerful magician in the realm of Oob. She learned everything she knew under the tutelage of a wicked old sorcerer who sought to take advantage of her. When she escaped, she was hopeful for a new life without the strings of royalty or romance. However, a magical blight affecting the realms threatens to suck her right back into her past of swirling chaos and pain.

Rafael Paladin was a prince who did not seek to take a bride, and certainly not an underage one as was tradition in his kingdom. Following the death of his father, his mother began pressuring Rafael to choose a young bride and settle down. When Rafael learns of the blight, he sees it as his chance at adventure. He and Keena begin a dangerous mission together, a race against time to secure the future of all their realms. Along the way, feelings develop, but can the two overcome their pasts together and come out together stronger than before?
