Casey Long is an outlaw with a storied past and troubles finding her at every turn. When she is shot in a saloon during what some townsfolk describe as a random attack, Casey remembers some very important details from her childhood which ultimately lead her down a trail she hasn't walked in years. Along the way, Casey loses family and finds it again all the while trying to make a living off of the banks and innocent passersby she robs, usually with a bottle of whiskey nearby.

It's a modern twist on old western literature tradition, but frankly, it's just more badass. ;)

If you're a fan of Red Dead Redemption (#sadieadler), then this story is for you.

I hope you enjoy my story. It's nearly complete and I will update as I go along. Please comment if you have suggestions or anything. Thanks!

The Madam of Purgatory Reach de lcjocelyn
58 Partes Concluida Contenido adulto
1870, Philadelphia, USA. Martha Whitcomb, the wild child of Philadelphia society, is now a grown woman, independent in wealth and in personality. At twenty-three, still unmarried and childless, she is exposed to constant rumors and ridicule, crushed by the ever-increasing weight of the sneers and jibes of her peers, and haunted by the failed engagement to the one who got away. Her dreams of becoming a successful businesswoman are blocked at every turn by the men around her, who are determined to smother the voice of a young woman intruding in their world. Realizing that she will never fit into the mold already set by society, Martha joins the droves of Americans heading west to the open frontier, a world that appears free from restraints, from convention, and from the expectations she has come to loathe. Upon her arrival to the growing town of Paradise Reach, she believes that she has indeed found her paradise. She soon realizes, however, why this town's inhabitants have dubbed it Purgatory Reach. She quickly learns that the west is free from the suffocating rules because it is a world more focused on immediate survival. It is a world where an insult could quickly escalate to a gunfight in the streets, a dangerous world crawling with outlaws, thieves, liars, and schemers. One of these outlaws is Jack Gatling, a rancher-turned-gambler. Escaping both demons of his own and the law, Jack came to Paradise Reach in hopes of making his fortune only to find himself focused on staying alive until tomorrow. In Martha, he sees an opportunity of his own, a chance to earn the riches he has been chasing. Martha knows she has two choices: return to Philadelphia with her tail between her legs and lock herself back in her gilded cage, or succeed in a world where women have few choices but to sell their bodies to make a living. Can Purgatory Reach again become Paradise? **Sequel to Dear Rhodora**

[[A slow burn OCxArthur story with both new and original characters]] They say the best things in life are unplanned. But sometimes... they're the worst. After the Blackwater catastrophe, Arthur feels the heavy weight of responsibility; being one of the gang members looked up to and relied upon to get them out of this mess, he's strained by the notion that they may not be getting out this time. With the West slowly transformed into a civilized hellhole, they are forced to move in all directions despite the place they wanted to return to most. Grimly aware that the age of outlaws may be up, Arthur does what he can under Dutch to get money for their escape, all according to plan... Until a detour. Stuck in a rut of her own, the independent, God-fearing, and wistful Summer Grace Monroe has been searching for her own place in life. After being scorned by lovers and in and out of jobs, she feels amiss her late twenties without a true home. She finds the most peace in her church and helping those in need, especially the local Native population. Her father, Captain Monroe, works within the Army as a voice for those being silenced. She helps others find their story, but what would be her own? Things all seem to take a turn when fate brings a chance encounter, permanently altering whatever path her life was going to take and intertwining her destiny with that of a notorious group of outlaws - yet she would not be the only one whose path would be changed. **This story will contain mature content such as violence/gore, sexual themes, and language. Do not read if you are under 18** [These characters all belong within the Red Dead Redemption universe/Rockstar, but I have made a few original characters and altered storylines.]
