Come join me for a fully reworked, reimagined version of Disney's 100th anniversary film, Wish (feat. scrapped concepts and ideas, further developed characters, a TRUE villain w/a backstory, romance, AND MORE)!

DISCLAIMER: I saw Wish opening day and thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought everything about the movie was beautiful, but I wasn't a huge fan of the writing. But that's OK, because now I get to play around with the plot myself! I hope you enjoy!

Gwi Owns the Night, Part I by snicolina

It seems as though I wasn't the only viewer who wanted the writers to love Gwi as much as his hair, makeup, and costume teams clearly did. XD So just for fun, I started re-writing an almost completely different story - pure fluff - with a less tragic ending in mind. I'm using Hye-ryung, but her character is, for the most part, entirely changed from SWWtN. And most of the other characters are made up. The whole thing came out as a screenplay, but I have never in my life written a screenplay, so it's an understatement to say I don't know what I'm doing here. I loosely tried to keep to formatting but I've cut a lot of the technical bits and with wattpad I just have to go with the simplest way to transfer everything in. Screenplays aren't meant to be read anyway; I know that. But hopefully it's enjoyable all the same? I am annoyed that English doesn't have a word for laughing as one short puff of air with no tone. As such, I've just had to call it 'breath laughing'. I'm sorry this sounds stupid. I couldn't think of a fitting title so I've just put up this silly one. I hope it makes you all laugh. But they are also magically powerful, and the King of Rosas knows this. The great sorcerer King Magnifico founded Rosas with the sole purpose of harvesting this power. His people, when they turn 18, give him their wishes in exchange they get to live in a safe, beautiful, and prosperous kingdom completely for free. And once a year, a lucky citizen may have their wish granted, returning back to whole. However giving up a wish is a difficult thing. It's like taking away a part of your soul, leaving behind an empty gap no material object will fill. Asha, a 17 year old girl who has yet to give up her wish, watched as this emptiness consumed her grandfather. He is about to turn 100 years old, which means he has lived almost 82 years with that emptiness that seemed to just grow and grow over the years, but he is a strong man, never giving up on the dream that one year his wish will be granted. Asha, determined to make his wish come true, tries to become the King's apprentice, one of the sure-fire ways a wish could be granted, is to become the one who can grant it. But instead of learning how to grant wishes, Asha learns the dark reason why King Magnifico keeps them. Fearing for her people's wishes, Asha turns away from the King and his ways, doing the forbidden and wished upon a star, only for a boy who's hair glowed like starlight to fall from the sky.
